The Vehicle
Assembly Building (VAB) at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. This
is where all Saturn launch vehicle stages and Apollo spacecraft underwent
final assembly and preparation for flight.One of the world's largest buildings,
the VAB is approximately 52 stories high and contains 3,664,340 cubic meters
(129,482,000 cubic feet) of interior space.

Crawler Transporter Tread This
is a shoe from one of the four tracks of an Apollo
Launch Vehicle Transporter. The shoe is 2.3 meters (7 feet 6
inches) long and weighs about 907 kilograms (2000 pounds). The Crawler Transporter
was 40 meters (131 feet) long, 35 meters (114 feet) wide, and 6 meters (20
feet) high. It weighed 2,721,554 kilograms (6,000,000 pounds) and could
carry a Saturn V weighing 272,160 kilograms (600,000 pounds) and its massive
Launch Umbilical Tower weighing 5,443,200 (12,000,000 pounds). Maximum speed
of the Transporter when loaded was 1.6 kilometers per hour (1 mile per hour).
