How Does Air Pressure Lift an Airplane Wing?

When an airplane wing produces lift, the air above the wing moves faster than the air below the wing. The faster the air speeds up, the lower its pressure becomes. So the faster moving air above has less pressure than the slower moving air below. The difference between the higher pressure on the bottom and the lower pressure on the top creates the lifting force on the wing.
